Susan Cantrell has interviewed several thousand people throughout her two-decade, award-winning journalistic career. During the last 10 years she has written a weekly Social Scene and Quotable Notables column for the Monterey County Herald newspaper. Her signature is offbeat and thought-provoking questions that have inspired revealing answers from such celebrities as: Clint and Dina Ruiz Eastwood, Maggie Eastwood, Doris Day, Kevin Costner, Jay Leno, Joan Fontaine, Olympia Dukakis, Suzanne Somers, Ted Turner, Glen Campbell, Willie Nelson, Brooke Shields, John Denver, The Smothers Brothers, Olivia Newton-John and many more.

While writing more than 2,000 feature articles for newspapers and magazines, locally and nationally, she has also developed nine unique columns and specialized in the social scenes in the San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay areas. She has also created and appeared in her own social scene spot on local TV.

She lives in Pacific Grove, California, where the ocean is her muse.
